Integrating with E*Trade Advisor Services (formally Trust Company of America) will allow you to import client account data and TCA Liberty models into Riskalyze.
Setting up the Integration
First, contact your relationship manager at E*Trade Advisor Services and let them know you would like to integrate with Riskalyze. Let your relationship manager know you need the E*Trade Advisor Services Release of Information (ROI) form. Fill out the form and submit it to E*Trade Advisor Services according to the form directions. Check all boxes for Riskalyze in the "Vendor/Recipient" section.
Next, E*Trade Advisor Services will let you know when they've processed your ROI form. When you have this confirmation, you can complete the Integration setup as follows:
- Login to Riskalyze and navigate to MENU (≡ icon (top right of your screen) -> Settings.
- Click Integrations, then E*Trade Advisor Services.
- Enter your Liberty Username, Password, and Block Account Number(optional), then click Connect.
Your integration is now established and ready to use!
Synchronizing E*Trade Advisor Services and Riskalyze Data
For Riskalyze customers, data from E*Trade Advisor Services is synced on a nightly basis. Every morning, you should see the client's up-to-date holdings in that client's current portfolio on Riskalyze.
Importing a Model Portfolio from E*Trade Advisor Services to Riskalyze
From the top of your Riskalyze home screen, click Model Portfolios >> Active Models. In the top right corner of the Model Portfolios page, you will see a "+ Add New Model" button.
Select "+ Add New Model" and select the "Search E*Trade Advisor Services" option. Search for any of your E*Trade Advisor Services models and select the one you would like. The model will then be housed in Riskalyze for use with client profiles.
Important: Model Sync does not support Liberty Composite Models. Import base-level models instead and create Riskalyze Blended Models to represent Composite Models if desired.
Creating a Riskalyze Client Profile From an E*Trade Advisor Services Account
From the Riskalyze home screen, click "+ Add New Client". Make sure you see the E*Trade Advisor Services icon and select it, then type in the client's name—in full or part—and Riskalyze will populate the matching names for you to choose from. Click on the client you want and a profile will be created in Riskalyze.
Linking an Existing Riskalyze Client to an E*Trade Advisor Services Account
If your Riskalyze and E*Trade Advisor Services accounts are linked, and you already have a client profile in Riskalyze, open the client profile and click on the "Client Actions" button in the top right and then "Integrations". See animation below.
From here, you can control which E*Trade Advisor Services accounts are linked to this Riskalyze client profile. If you link multiple E*Trade Advisor Services accounts, Riskalyze will sync and combine all of the holdings into one active portfolio.
Frequent Questions
Why do I get a message that "this contact is already linked"?
Because Riskalyze pushes a client's Risk Number and active portfolio Risk Number to E*Trade Advisor Services, an E*Trade Advisor Services contact can only be linked to one Riskalyze client profile.
There are a few reasons you might see this message: (a) the contact might be linked to another client profile in your account, or (b) the contact might be linked to a Riskalyze client profile in another advisor's account. If you use Data Sharing with Riskalyze Elite, you can share linked clients with other advisors within your Team. Otherwise, only one advisor will be able to have that contact linked to a Riskalyze client profile.
What if I have two Riskalyze client profiles and two E*Trade Advisor Services accounts, and I want them all together?
Choose which Riskalyze client profile you'd like to keep (preferably the profile with a client verified Risk Number). Delete the other one. Then, open the remaining client profile, click the "Client Actions" button in the top right and then "Integrations". Search the client as you would in the above section on "Linking an Existing Riskalyze Client". The holdings for both contacts will then resync into the active portfolio in Riskalyze.
Why am I getting this error: “We’re sorry, we couldn’t integrate your account with those credentials”?
Double-check your username and password. If your credentials are correct and you still receive an error, it's likely that the ROI has not yet been fully processed by E*Trade Advisor Services. Confirm with your E*Trade Advisor Services contact whether the ROI has been completed, or contact Riskalyze Customer Care Team for assistance.
