You are now able to sync your custodial data from Fidelity to your Riskalyze account. Follow the steps below to activate your integration.
Setting up the Integration - Fidelity
Submitting the Vendor Transmission Request (VTR) form
The first step toward integrating your client accounts is to complete and send the VTR form to Fidelity. This form should be downloaded from the Wealthscape forms library:
- Navigate to Service -> Forms & Reference -> Forms Library
- Scroll through the forms list or search for "Vendor" to locate the Vendor Transmission Request
- Complete the VTR form, using your G Number for the "Client Header Name" in section 2 and any applicable fields in section 3
Note: To activate the Fidelity integration for multiple advisors in the same firm, make sure to submit the individual G Numbers for each advisor. Fidelity may direct you to use multiple VTR forms if necessary.
- Save a digital copy of your VTR.
Fidelity prepares your account.
Once you have submitted your VTR form to Fidelity, they will begin processing the form. This is typically completed within 10 business days.
Fidelity will alert you when this process is complete and your data feed will be connected to Riskalyze.
To Complete the integration process:
Please forward the Fidelity confirmation, along with a copy of your VTR, to Riskalyze Customer Care Teamso that we can finish activating your integration.
Setting up the Integration - NFS
Requesting the data feed for Riskalyze
The first step toward integrating your client accounts is to request a data feed between Riskalyze and NFS. Contact Riskalyze Customer Care Team to get your Riskalyze user ID number. Then, email your back office requesting that a data feed be set up for Riskalyze with your user ID as the "file header". If you or your office need help to format this request, Riskalyze Support is here to help.
NFS prepares your account
Once you submit the data feed request, NFS will prepare your account and will alert you when this process is complete. Please forward the confirmation to Riskalyze Customer Care Team so that we can finish activating your integration.
Choosing What to Sync
After your integration has been established, you can choose what information gets synced from the Integrations page in Riskalyze. To access the integrations page, go to ≡ Menu icon (top right of your screen) -> Settings -> Integrations -> Fidelity.
You can enable or disable:
- Pull Holdings: Enables the syncing of client account holdings from Fidelity into Riskalyze on a nightly basis. Each morning, you should see the client's up-to-date holdings in that client's active portfolio in Riskalyze.
Creating a Riskalyze Client Profile From a Fidelity Client Account
From your Riskalyze dashboard, click the + Add New Client button. Make sure the Fidelity card is checked. Begin typing the name of a client, and Riskalyze will populate matching client names for you to choose from. Click on the client name and then click the Add Client button and a profile will be created in Riskalyze.
Linking an Existing Riskalyze Client to a Fidelity Client Account
If your Riskalyze and Fidelity accounts are integrated, and you already have a client profile in Riskalyze, open the client profile and click on the "Client Actions" button in the top right and then "Integrations".
From here, you can control which Fidelity client accounts are linked to this Riskalyze client profile. If you link multiple Fidelity client accounts, Riskalyze will sync and combine all of the holdings into one active portfolio.
Why do I get a message that "this contact is already linked?"
Because Riskalyze pushes a client's Risk Number and active portfolio Risk Number to Fidelity, a Fidelity client can only be linked to one Riskalyze client profile.
There are a few reasons you might see this message: (a) the contact might be linked to another client profile in your account, or (b) the contact might be linked to a Riskalyze client profile in another advisor's account. If you use Riskalyze Data Sharing, you can share linked clients with other advisors within your Team. Otherwise, only one advisor will be able to have that contact linked to a Riskalyze client profile.
What if I have two Riskalyze client profiles and two Fidelity Accounts, and I want them all together?
Choose which Riskalyze client profile you'd like to keep (preferably the profile with a client verified Risk Number. Delete the other one. Then, open the remaining client profile, click "Actions" in the top right and then "Integrations". Search the client as you would in the above section on "Linking an Existing Riskalyze Client". The holdings for both contacts will then resync into the active portfolio in Riskalyze.
