What Plan Participants See
The Invitation Email:
The On-Boarding Process
Once the participant clicks on the link in the invitation email, they will be walked through a step-by-step on-boarding process. During this process, they will learn what their Risk Number is, how to align their retirement plan, and what their options are for investing right.
First, they will provide their name, email, and age.
Second, the participant will enter the current balance of their retirement account. If they do not enter an amount, they will still be able to proceed through the on-boarding process. Nitrogen will assume an account balance of $10,000 as an easy, round number to illustrate risk tolerance and the investment options.
Next, the participant will choose a Risk Number that correctly quantifies their downside risk tolerance.
Once the participant has confirmed their Risk Number, they proceed to a retirement goal calculator. This calculator allows the client to adjust basic factors like monthly contribution, retirement age, and inflation. With their Risk Number and retirement goal in mind, clients can now choose one of the available model portfolios that’s right for them.
Making Elections
Once the participant has selected their model portfolio, they can choose to log into their recordkeeper or enroll in their plan if they have yet to do so.
The Welcome Email
Once a participant has fully completed the questionnaire they will receive a Welcome Email. This email contains the holdings the model portfolio they chose during the questionnaire, allowing them to trade their own account.
You will then receive a confirmation email, and be able to view the participant’s results in Retirement Plans.
