We’re often asked how a firm should position its use of Nitrogen. With the rebrand from Riskalyze to Nitrogen, you might have historically used the Riskalyze brand with your clients, as in, “I'm going to analyze your portfolio using Riskalyze" or "I'm going to have you take a Riskalyze questionnaire."
Should you switch to using "Nitrogen" now?
Three possible answers.
First, we never intended advisors to use the "Riskalyze" brand with their clients the way they have. But we love it, we're totally good with it, and in fact, they still can. Riskalyze is still our trademark, and any of our customers can continue to use it in their practice or marketing if they wish.
Second, our customers can absolutely choose to use the Nitrogen brand in the same way. You can tell your clients, "I use an analytics tool called Nitrogen to assess your risk or analyze your portfolio." I'm pretty sure clients won't be opposed to the essential element for growth being attached to their portfolios!
And third, we didn't design either the Riskalyze or Nitrogen brands with your clients in mind. Advisors are the irreplaceable heart and soul of how we intend to empower the world to invest fearlessly, and advisors have always been the intended audience for our company name and brand.
The Risk Number® brand is an integral part of the Nitrogen platform and was designed from day one with your clients as the primary audience. Our logo has never been in it — we designed the Risk Number to seamlessly integrate into your firm's branding without creating any competition or conflict.
If you've used the "Riskalyze" brand with your clients in the past, we’d encourage you to use the following messaging: "I use this software to measure your Risk Number as an investor, and the Risk Number of your portfolio, and make sure they stay generally aligned with each other."
