When a client is created in Nitrogen, the Nitrogen account that created the client is assigned as the owner. If you would like to change the owner of a client, you'll need to follow the steps listed below. This process must be done for each client individually.
1. Data sharing must be turned off. To turn of Data Sharing, navigate to Client Actions > Share and select Unshare.
2. If the client accounts are activated for Nitrogen Trading, you'll need to disable them in the Accounts Dashboard. Be sure to note the target holdings that are selected within Trading.
3. In the client portfolio, you'll need to disconnect/remove any synced client accounts. To do this, navigate to Client Actions > Integrations and click the X. The account(s) will remain in the portfolio but no longer sync. If any integrations are not listed, those integrations will automatically disconnect upon moving the client to the new owner. The new owner can then connect the client with their integrations.
4. Move the client. Navigate to Client Actions > Move Client and select the desired advisor you wish to transfer the client to.
5. The new advisor now owns the client! This new advisor can re-share the client with the firm, connect them via integrations, and if applicable re-activate trading.
