When you click "Process Approved" from the Trading Dashboard, Autopilot generates an executable file for you to upload into the Liberty platform. Follow the instructions below to process the trade file and send orders using Liberty.
Setup in Liberty
Before you generate your first Autopilot Trade list, make sure you have the option to upload trade files. Open Liberty and go to the Trading tab, then check Additional Trade Actions on the right-hand side of the screen for "Trade Upload". You should see a screen like the one below. Don't see the Trade Upload option? Contact your TCA Relationship Manager and let them know you'd like to upload trades from Autopilot.
Prepare the Trade File
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT REQUIRED STEP
Open the Autopilot trade file, and fill in column C with the applicable Model ID for each account. If you are not using models, you may simply enter 0 in column C for all rows. If you are using models but would like to streamline for Autopilot, simply de-sleeve your accounts in Liberty prior to enabling Autopilot. Then proceed with entering 0 for all rows. Otherwise, fill in Column C with the appropriate Model ID from Liberty.
Upload Trades to Liberty
Tip: Make sure that your Liberty trading blotter is currently clear (completed trades are fine). This makes sure you are applying the instructions below only to Autopilot-generated trades.
Upload the trade file by navigating to Trading>Trade Upload. Leave "Skip Header Row" unchecked. Select the Autopilot trade file and click Open.
When you see a success message, click "Refresh Import Status" and then "Continue" to view trades.
From the uploaded trades view, click "Process Trades" to create orders. You'll get a confirmation of each order created, click "Continue to Blotter". Any errors will show in the Status column. Phew. You're almost done!
From the Blotter, approve and execute the uploaded trades. Best practice is to send sells first, then send the buys.
Trades must be approved in the blotter before they are executed.
Hooray! Your trades have been processed. Time to sit back and relax.
Settlement & Sync with Riskalyze
Now that your trades have been submitted, simply wait for them to settle. Liberty may display the new positions as soon as the following day. However it typically takes T+2 for custodians to send the new positions to Riskalyze. You do not have to take any action to see updated positions, Riskalyze automatically updates them as soon as they are received from the custodian.
