At Nitrogen, we’re honored to serve the thousands of advisors and firms that make up the Fearless Investing Movement. This article describes the Nitrogen user licenses available to advisors and their staff.
-
Financial Advisor License — Advisor licenses are the primary owner of client profiles, models, and the data stored inside of them. User accounts for these licenses can only be provisioned to individuals who are registered under SEC/FINRA rules.
- Assistant License — Assistant licenses are for the staff members of an advisory firm who do not hold a securities license or any registration under SEC/FINRA rules, and operate in the mode of an “assistant” on behalf of the advisor licenses provisioned within that firm. Assistant licenses cannot setup integrations or view active integrations. Assistants can change Advisory Fees in client portfolios within Advisor accounts that own those clients. For Shared clients that are not owned by the Advisor the Assistant is assisting, they won't have access to edit Fees in the portfolio. If the Assistant needs to edit Fees, he/she can move the client to the necessary Advisor as the owner first, and then make the change.

Firms on an Enterprise version of Nitrogen can configure assistant licenses as “enterprise admins” that can act as an assistant on behalf of advisors across multiple firms.
